When I first came to BSU everyone was so welcoming and kind. It was nice to be in a family-like environment. I'll remember all of the friends I have made here during my three years. I'll miss all my fellow nursing students (especially Alonna & Natalie), but we did it!!
I'm looking forward to beginning my journey as a Registered Nurse and to eventually starting a family. Also, no more homework!! I will have more time to spend with my dog, Sammy, too! I've promised him lots of trips to the dog park after graduation! I'm going on a cruise for the first time ever too!!
The key to my success at BSU was my mom, my amazing professors, and my fellow nursing students. There were so many days and nights spent studying with my nursing friends…mostly because procrastination took over! My mom played a big part by always being there for me and pushing me to do my best and be my best. Without her gentle nudges I would not be where I am today…thanks, Mom!
It sounds silly, but my most significant challenge at BSU was my college algebra math class! It was necessary to graduate so I pulled through it. My mom helped me a lot with understanding concepts and my professor, Mr. Ragland, was such a great professor.
My favorite professor was Ms. Darlene Silver. She was always there for us students and would go out of her way to help us succeed. I can't count the number of times she stayed late or missed her own family functions to help us get the information we needed to succeed. Thank you Ms. Silver…you don't know it, but it really meant a lot to us all!!
My favorite study spot was the student lounge in CLT and the top floor of the library…depending on which one was less crowded at the time or what we needed to do. Sometimes we just searched for an empty classroom and took it over!
