MIS Club

The MIS Club is a student-run, faculty-advised organization designed for students concentrating in management information systems, but is open to all Bowie State University students. The purpose of the club is to increase the opportunities for those students interested in MIS careers and to meet with successful MIS professionals and alumni. The club brings in guest speakers throughout the school year and also arranges career/resume-building workshops. In the past, the club has been hosted by alumni from such employers as the IIT Research Institute, Lockheed Martin, Science Applications International Corporation, Mitretek Systems, and the Internal Revenue Service. A highlight is an end-of-year evening get-together at a local restaurant with MIS alumni from throughout the Washington metropolitan area. For more information, please contact The MIS club offers its members the opportunity to build their contacts through our extensive MIS alumni database, improve their networking skills, and increase their knowledge of the MIS profession.
